The ethos of the latest creation prioritizes sustainability by using scrap yarn, foam, and other materials to create a futuristic-looking series of models ideal for any athlete, no matter the occasion.
Space Hippie’s Flyknit yarn is made from 85-90% recycled content, including plastic bottles, t-shirts, and post-industrial scraps. Its ultra-comfortable "Crater Foam" uses ~12% Nike Grind rubber combined with foam materials for a more sustainable, lightweight, and responsive feel during city exploration.
As the Swoosh continues to deliver a fashionable look and a functional design through the lens of sustainability, the men’s Space Hippie 01 in anthracite, black, and volt, the Space Hippie 01 in healing jade, and the women’s Space Hippie 04 in smoke grey and pink blast are the latest torchbearers of Nike's championing vision.
The 04 is available now and the two 01 colorways release online on 04.23.21 at 8 a.m. MST. The remaining inventory will be available in-store starting at 11 a.m. MST.
