In 2011, Jay-Z and Kanye West joined forces to deliver one of the most revolutionary joint albums of all time – Watch The Throne. The debut of the album sparked a new wave of fashion, sneakers, and culture. Givenchy Rottweiler tees. Pyrex Vision hoodies. And of course, all-black everything from head to toe.
To coincide with the release of the album, LeBron James and Nike created a special version of the LeBron 9, celebrating the album and taking inspiration from the album art. Thus, the Nike LeBron 9 “Watch The Throne” was born.
The LeBron 9, worn by The King during his first championship title with the Heat in 2011-2012, embodied the album’s elevated status with gold details, a floral print, and a lace dubrae that could be spotted out by miles. Made in limited quantities, the LeBron 9 “Watch The Throne” was a grail to many and a sign of the times.
A decade after the shoe’s debut on sneaker forums and worn by the likes of Bron, Wale, and others, the Nike LeBron 9 “Watch The Throne” makes its long-awaited retail debut.
The Nike LeBron 9 “Watch The Throne” releases at Manor on January 6, 2022, for $230. The pair will be available first-come, first serve. Limited to one pair per person.
