In 2012, Nike Basketball looked to the stars for its All-Star Weekend collection. As the annual event of superstars playing against one another took place in Orlando, the Swoosh went to space for an interstellar pack.
The 2012 "Galaxy" pack was arguably the pinnacle of performance as the KD 4, the Kobe 7, the LeBron 9, and the Foamposite headlined the February collection.
The "Galaxy" collection was the North Star of hype and performance in the early 2010s, paving the way for the current sneaker culture landscape.
A decade after its initial liftoff, a member of the "Galaxy" pack returns — the Nike LeBron 9. Remastered as the "Big Bang" colorway, the Nike LeBron 9 stays true to its original form with its vibrant orange hues, metallic silver details, and glow-in-the-dark outsole.
The Nike LeBron 9 "Big Bang" releases in-store on February 18 for $240 on a first-come, first-serve basis at our Uptown Plaza location.
