The Air Jordan 11 will forever be hailed as a cultural relic. Since its arrival in 1995 and worn by his Airness throughout the iconic 95-96 season, the AJ11 ushered in a new era for the brand.
Inspired by suits and an overall sense of elegance, the Air Jordan 11 captivated the eyes and hearts of many. Its patent leather cut, its carbon fiber shank, and its mesmerizing outsole created a sensation for sneaker culture like no other.
Following the original releases, Jordan Brand unveiled a new colorway in 2001 for Michael Jordan for his Washington Wizards tenure -- the “Cool Grey” iteration.
The colorway paved a new lane for the brand. Though the release wasn’t too far removed from the original AJ11 run, the non-Bulls iteration proved that the Air Jordan 11 would always reign.
Causing an uproar in 2001 and then again in 2010, the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” has solidified itself as a classic. Two decades after its original release, the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” is back once more.
